She Explains in Hebrew “I Will Forever be a Captive of Gratitude”

Message from one of the detainees to the fighters and leadership of Al-Qassam Brigades who accompanied her during the period of detention before her release in the exchange deal as part of the humanitarian ceasefire.

For the generals who accompanied me in the past weeks, it seems that we will part ways tomorrow, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For your extraordinary humanity that you showed towards my daughter Emilia, you were like parents to her. You invited her to your room whenever she wanted. She acknowledges that you are all her friends, not just friends, but true and good beloved ones.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the many hours you spent as caregivers.Thank you for being patient with her, indulging her with sweets and fruits, and everything else, even if it wasn’t readily available.

Children should not be in shelters, but thanks to you and other kind people we met along the way.My daughter considered herself a queen in Gaza…And overall, she admits to feeling like the center of the world. We have not encountered a single person on our long journey, from the military to the leadership, who did not treat her with gentleness, affection, and love.

I will forever be a captive of gratitude because she did not leave here with permanent psychological trauma.I will remember your kind actions given here, despite the difficult situation you were dealing with personally and the heavy losses you experienced here in Gaza. I wish that in this world, we can truly appreciate being good friends.I sincerely wish you all health and well-being…Health and love to you and your families.Thank you very much,

Daniel and Emilia
