Quran – Surah No. 90 البلد
Ayah No. 4
Translation:
Indeed We have created man (to live) in hard struggle.
In Human Resources, they have a concept called “the spill over effect”.
If a person toils in the 5 working days then he will enjoy the time which he has to rest. However, if a person wasted time on social media not doing his duties at work and relaxed at work then he will not enjoy his resting time (the weekend).
When you dedicated and gave your time and sweat in this world to please Allah Ta’alaa then understand well your Aakhirah will be that never ending weekend. Being Deeny does not mean becoming lazy and obsolete. This is the road to depression.
Struggling is part of life. The “happy ending” which Hollywood and Bollywood portrays is bare of any substance. In fact these actors eventually commit suicide because of the soft life filled with fame and glamour. When the anti wrinkle creams no more does the cover ups and then the world has lost interest in these retired actors then they all of a sudden are struck with a inferiority complex. Depression kicks in and the end is no more the fantasy that they once acted in.
Islam gives a person a reason to live. When a person seeks to undertake this journey of change, Allah Ta’alaa becomes his only trust. Allah Ta’alaa becomes his security. Allah Ta’alaa gives him that sense of fulfilment but effort is required.
In toiling there is happiness even in this worldly life. When a person retires and has not made Ibaadah to please Allah Ta’alaa then with all the money and outward comfort he may have, still he will not be satisfied because that a sense of fulfilment is lost.
