Sayyiduna Abu Huraira Radhiyyallahu anhu reported: The Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam , said:
“Look at those below you and do not look at those above you, lest you belittle the favors of Allah.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ انْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ وَلاَ تَنْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ فَوْقَكُمْ فَهُوَ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ لاَ تَزْدَرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ
2963 صحيح مسلم كتاب الزهد والرقائق
The one with a conveyance will look at the one without one. The one without one will look at the one with a bicycle. The one without a bicycle will look at those with feet. Those without a foot will look at those without both feet.
Like this, take a pen and paper and look at how many things you have that those suffering in Gazzah and other places do not.
Not being appreciative is a pathway to destruction whereas the attitude of gratitude leads to an increase!
Quran – Surah No. 14 ابراهيم Ayah No. 7
أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجيم
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَاِذۡ تَاَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمۡ لَئِنۡ شَكَرۡتُمۡ لَاَزِيۡدَنَّـكُمۡ وَلَئِنۡ كَفَرۡتُمۡ اِنَّ عَذَابِىۡ لَشَدِيۡدٌ (7)
Translation:
And when your Sustainer declared, If you express gratitude, I shall certainly give you more, and if you are ungrateful, then My punishment is severe.”
Ibn Abbas Radhiyallahu anhu reported: The Prophet, Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam, used to supplicate:
اللَّهُمَّ قَنِّعْنِي بِمَا رَزَقْتَنِي وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ وَاخْلُفْ عَلَيَّ كُلَّ غَائِبَةٍ لِي بِخَيْر
“O Allah, make me content with what You have provided for me, bless me in it, and replace everything I do not have with something better.”

‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Al-as (Radhiyallahu anhuma) reported:
the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Successful is the one who has entered the fold of Islam and is provided with sustenance which is sufficient for his needs, and Allah makes him content with what He has bestowed upon him.”.
[Muslim].
وعن عبد الله بن عمرو رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “قد أفلح من أسلم، ورزق كفافاً، وقنعه الله بما آتاه” ((رواه مسلم))
