We quick to complain and make a huge fuss when petrol goes up but who is there to make Shukr when it goes down:
Now Allah Ta’alaa emphasizes when you express gratitude, He Ta’alaa will increase that benefit for you.
وَاِذۡ تَاَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمۡ لَئِنۡ شَكَرۡتُمۡ لَاَزِيۡدَنَّـكُمۡ وَلَئِنۡ كَفَرۡتُمۡ اِنَّ عَذَابِىۡ لَشَدِيۡدٌ (7)
Translation:
And when your Sustainer declared, If you express gratitude, I shall certainly give you more, and if you are ungrateful, then My punishment is severe.”
Quran – Surah No. 14 ابراهيم

Petrol is gone down to R20.75 down from R21.41. Did you take out a second to express gratitude?
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira Radhiyallahu anhu reported: The Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam, said,
“Look at those below you and do not look at those above you, lest you belittle the favors of Allah.”

Bedfordview Edenvale News reported:
South African motorists can expect some relief at the pumps this week, as the price of all grades of petrol is set to decrease by between 62 and 66 cents per litre from Wednesday, 7 January 2026.
According to the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Petrol 93 (ULP & LRP) will drop by 62 cents per litre, while Petrol 95 (ULP & LRP) will decrease by 66 cents per litre.
Now you may say look at Iran and their cheap petrol rates but know well the bulk of Iran and their Shia kufr agenda has deprived them of many of the favours of Allah Ta’alaa.
وَلَئِنۡ كَفَرۡتُمۡ اِنَّ عَذَابِىۡ لَشَدِيۡدٌ
“and if you are ungrateful, then My punishment is severe.”

Do you not know of the water crisis in Iran? That is just the tip of the iceberg. Allah Ta’alaa is turning the dogs of this world upon them because they consider their dogs to be better than the Sahaabah Radhiyallahu anhum.
The universe belongs to Allah Ta’alaa. It does not belong to those threatening the world and snatching their resources. We have to become the grateful servants of Allah Ta’alaa. That is key!
