Our focus is on the Quran Shareef- Surah No. 5 المائدة and verse 83-85
Ayah No. 83
أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَاِذَا سَمِعُوۡا مَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَى الرَّسُوۡلِ تَرٰٓى اَعۡيُنَهُمۡ تَفِيۡضُ مِنَ الدَّمۡعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوۡا مِنَ الۡحَـقِّۚ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ رَبَّنَاۤ اٰمَنَّا فَاكۡتُبۡنَا مَعَ الشّٰهِدِيۡنَ (83)
Translation:
And when they hear what has been sent down to the Messenger, you will see their eyes overflowing with tears on what they have recognized from the truth. They say, “Our Sustainer, we have come to believe. So, write us down along with those who bear witness.
وَمَا لَـنَا لَا نُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ الۡحَـقِّۙ وَنَطۡمَعُ اَنۡ يُّدۡخِلَـنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الۡقَوۡمِ الصّٰلِحِيۡنَ (84)
Translation:
And what excuse do we have if we do not believe in Allah and in what has come to us from the truth, while we hope that our Sustainer will admit us in the company of the righteous people?”
The Rewards
In verse No. 85:
فَاَثَابَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِمَا قَالُوۡا
Allah rewarded them because of what they said(the above Dua at the end of verse 83 and the entire verse 84:
رَبَّنَاۤ اٰمَنَّا فَاكۡتُبۡنَا مَعَ الشّٰهِدِيۡنَ
وَمَا لَـنَا لَا نُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ الۡحَـقِّۙ وَنَطۡمَعُ اَنۡ يُّدۡخِلَـنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الۡقَوۡمِ الصّٰلِحِيۡنَ
Gaze back at the translation for a more meaningful relationship with this Dua and ideally to the Quraan Shareef.)
Here is the reward for saying these words after listening to the verses of the Quraan Shareef, weeping and then making the above Dua:
جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا ؕ وَذٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ
الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ (85)
Translation:
gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they shall live forever. And that is the reward of the good in deeds.
