Hadith 398 of Riyaadhus- Sawliheen
وعن النعمان بن بشير رضي الله عنهما قال : سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: إن أهون أهل النار عذابا يوم القيامة لرجل يوضع في أخمص قدميه جمرتان يغلي منهما دماغه، ما يرى أن أحد أشد منه عذابا، وإنه لأهونهم عذابا” (( متفق عليه))
Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said,
“The person who will be meted out the lightest punishment amongst the people of Hell-fire on the Day of Resurrection is one underneath whose feet will be placed two live burning coals, allowing his brain to reach boiling point, and he would think that he is the one with the worst punishment, while he is experiencing the least punished!”
The Hadith teaches us that the lightest punishment of Jahannam will be intolerable. For this reason, we should be fearful of our plight on that day by staying away from evil and heading towards good.
