The owner of a tiny Scots island is refusing to sell it to a firebrand cleric with plans to turn it into an ‘Islamic’ homeland.
On the market of north for £1.5million, the picturesque island has not been sold for 85 years and has not been permanently inhabited since the 1960s.
Sheikh Yasser al-Habib, 45, is currently raising funds to buy Torsa, off the west coast of Scotland.

The Mail on Sunday revealed, Al-Habib wants to build a school, hospital and mosque on the island, where it also intends to practise Sharia law.

Yasser Al-Khabeeth claims he wants to purchase this Island and move in with his followers. The scriptwriter behind the blasphemous Lady of Heaven movie is Yasser Al-Habib, an extremist Kuwaiti Shia who is exiled in the United Kingdom.
Over the last decade Al-Habib has become notorious in the Arabic-speaking world for his targeting of the Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam and honourable wife and mother of this Ummah Sayyidah Hadhrat Aa’ishah Radhiyallahu ‘anha, as well as the first two Khalifah’s Sayyiduna Hadhrat Abu Bakr and Ameerul Mu’mineen Sayyiduna Hadhrat Omar Radhiyallahu ‘Anhu.
He is better known in the Anglophone world with the release of his anti-Islamic sectarian movie Lady of Heaven which has sparked protests all over the country.
But who exactly is Yasser Al-Habib and what are his views?
Due to the disbelief spreading from this vile soul, the Kuwaiti National Assembly demanded that he is imprisoned. This was after he rolled out and started his hate speech with his Kufr organisation named ‘The Mahdi Servants Organisation.’ This led to his arrest and imprisonment for a year. However, the criminal and hater of the beloved companions of Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam whom nobody ever felt safe and satisfied led to a mighty upgrade and allowed the courts to increase the sentence by ten years in 2004, with another ten years increase in 2006, and another ten years increase in 2012.
However, in a ‘procedural’ mistake by the Kuwaiti government he was released and soon carried on his hate speech spilling blood on himself and followers claiming this is Islam!
Al-Habib, who is based in Fulmer, South Buckinghamshire, has been fundraising to buy Torsa through his kufr satellite channel Fadak TV.
Fadak has received repeated warnings from the regulator Ofcom, about its’ hate filled broadcasts.
Al-Khabeeth and his 400 000 followers wish to storm this Island however the owner has rightfully rejected this hater of Islam.
Alastair Redman, councillor for the Kintyre and Islands ward, said people on neighbouring islands and on the mainland, were appalled by Al-Habib’s proposals for Torsa.
He said: ‘The proposal for setting up a sectarian religious outpost on a rural Scottish island is immoral.
‘The fact that he wants to involve an idyllic setting in prejudiced preaching is simply unacceptable.
