Dear Mom,
For the following reasons I have disbelieved in singling out the 12th of May for Mother’s day:
Surprisingly they call the day ‘MOTHERS DAY’, according to the low inhumane status of the masses, should they not say it is discrimination? Has the alien belief going from their ape culture to their current genderless society not left many doubting the gender of their own mothers? The Western Propaganda shocked Satan to say the least where there are instances of teachers being reprimanded for addressing females in a all girls school setting as ‘females’. To prove the adulteration in the current transformed Bible, they intend to change the gender of God in the Bible because they feel ‘He’ and ‘Father’ are not befitting! However these absurd concocted beliefs seem to have no limits! One such is the ‘PAGAN MOTHERS DAY‘.
The earliest Mother’s Day celebrations can be traced back to the worship of mythological gods and paganism. People in ancient Greece would hold annual celebrations in the spring in honor of Rhea, the mother of the gods. As a part of the celebration, people would make offerings of honeycakes, fine drinks, and flowers at dawn.The Romans also had a mother of all gods that they worshipped. Her name was Magna Mater meaning “Great Mother”.
They built a temple for her in Rome, and every March, there was a celebration in her honor called the Festival of Hilaria. Gifts were brought to the temple to please the powerful mother-goddess.
The Adoption By Christianity
During the 1600s, Christian groups in England adopted the tradition but called it “Mothering Sunday” as a way to honor the mothers of England. Because many of England’s poor lived and worked as servants for the wealthy, far away from their homes and families, they were given Mothering Sunday off and were allowed to return home and spend the day with their mothers. A special cake, called the “mothering cake,” was often baked to add to the festivities, and many attended a special service at the “mother church”—the main church in the vicinity of their home.Over time, the Mothering Sunday tradition shifted into a more secular holiday, and it became traditional for children to present their mothers with flowers and other tokens of appreciation. This custom eventually faded in popularity before merging with the American Mother’s Day in the 1930s and 1940s.
The Commercialism
Now, in our day, Mother’s Day is one of the most profitable holidays in the world. Flower shops, gift shops, and other retailers generate billions and billions of dollars every year from people who buy gifts for their mothers on Mother’s Day. According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), “The average person will spend about $140 for Mother’s Day, meaning the total spending will reach about $16 billion.”Even more, according to The History Channel, more phone calls are made on Mother’s Day than any other day of the year. So the telecommunications industry is cashing in too!
The Reality
Non- Muslims and now Muslims who are losing their Islam live with a dark guilty conscience due to ignoring their parents 364 days a year in old age dumps (even if it may be a luxurious dump) thus they will wake up on this pagan day. I ask myself if you, my mother, dumped me for 364 days and cared for me for just one day of the year when I was still in diapers, what would be my state today? You did not do that!
Lastly, Mom I have accepted Islam and I was pleased to know and I am sure you would be pleased too, that Islam teaches respect to parents even if they have not accepted Islam

Translation:
We commanded man (to be good) about his parents. His mother carried him facing weakness after weakness, and his weaning is in two years: “Be grateful to Me and to your parents. To Me is the ultimate return.
Ayah No. 15
Translation: And if they force you to ascribe to Him partners about whom you have no knowledge, do not obey them. And be with them in this world, with due fairness, and follow the way of the one who has turned himself towards Me. Then, towards Me is your return, so I shall tell you about what you had been doing.”
Alhamdulillah for the Deen of Islam which promotes the status of parents not restricting it to a time frame of a few hours with a few commercialized products mothers don’t require!
