Hadhrat Aqeel bin Abi Taalib (the son of Abu Taalib) narrates that on one occasion when members of the Quraysh approached Abu Talib (to discuss Rasulullah ﷺ, Abu Talib said to Rasulullah ﷺ
O my nephew! By Allah! As you well know, I have always listened to what you have to say (I now wish that you listen to me).
“ Your people have come to me to complain that in their gatherings and at the Ka’bah you tell them things that hurt them.
If you think it appropriate, you should stop doing this.”

Looking towards the heavens, Rasulullah ﷺ replied,
“I do not have the ability to stop doing what I have been sent to do just as any of you do not have the ability to grab hold of a spark of fire from the sun“
ِA narration of Bayhaqi reports Abu Talib called for Rasulullah ﷺ and said,
“O My Nephew! Verily your people have come to me and said this and that, thus have mercy upon me and yourself and do not place on me such a burden which I would not be capable of bearing nor yourself “
“So stop your communication of that which they do not like”
ٍSo Rasulullah ﷺ thought his uncle had changed his opinions, that he would stop assisting him, that he would now hand him over to the people and that he had lost courage in supporting him.
So Rasulullah ﷺ said,
O my uncle! Even if the sun were placed in my right hand and the moon in my left hand, I would not forsake this work (of propagation) until Allah makes it (this Deen) dominant or I am destroyed in the process
