Bismillahi Rahmanir Raheem
The sound of a drizzle on a steel roof is peaceful to the ears, the smell of musk brings an aroma of satisfaction to the entire body and the sight of a lush green garden with it’s beautiful colours strikes of the above all at once, if ones peace of heart is taken away then the world with all its fake pleasures cannot impress a disturbed piece of flesh.
We racing to find that deal which will strike peace. The truth is the heart is void of sincerity. If our plea was truthful would only use a navigator which has the directions to a tested path. For this we have to keep the words of a personality close to our hearts, one who Al-Mussawir (The Fashioner), perfectly fashioned ﷺ. The description given by Hadhrat Baraa Ibn ‘Aazib raḏiyallahu ‘anhu, ‘I never saw anyone or anything more handsome than him’ or the description given by Hadrat ‘Ali raḏiyallahu ‘anhu, “I did not see anyone like him neither before him, nor after him.”
Rasullullah ﷺ said, “Seven people Allah will give them His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but the Shade of His Throne (i.e., on the Day of Resurrection)”
One of the many categories stated by Rasulullah ﷺ is:
ورجل ذكر الله خالياً ففاضت عيناه” (متفق عليه) ”
“And a man who remembers Allah Ta’laa in solitude and his eyes becomes tearful“
Weeping In Salaah
Hadhrat ‘Abdillah ibn Shik-kheer radhiyallahu ‘anhu narrated from his father, who said, “I attended the noble assembly of Rasulullah ﷺ. He ﷺ was reading salaah. Because of his crying, such a sound emitted from his chest, like that of a boiling pot.”
Hadhrat Sheikhul Hadith Moulana Zakariyya Khandhlewi Rahmatullahi Alaihi commenting on this hadith says, “this was due to the complete humbleness of Rasulullah ﷺ . Some mashaaikh have written that this state of Sayyiduna Rasulullah ﷺ occurred when both the jalaali (exaltedness) and jamaali (aesthetical) attribute of Allah appeared together. Certainly, when the jamaali attributes appeared, at that time a sort of happiness and contentment became apparent. Through the tufayl (means) of Sayyiduna Rasulullah ﷺ, the mashaaikh of sulook also experience these two conditions.”
Weeping While Listening To Quraan
Hadhat Abdullah ibn Masood radhiyallahu anhu said,
“Rasulullah ﷺ once asked me to recite the Quraan to him. I said, “O Rasuul of Allah, should recite to you when it has been revealed to you?” Rasulullah ﷺ said, “I love to hear it from another person” Thereupon I began reciting Surah Nisaa. When I reached this Aayah, “But how (will it be with them) when We bring a witness from every nation, and We bring you (O Muhammed ﷺ) as a witness against these?” (4;4- Quraan-e-Kareem). I saw tears flowing from both eyes of Rasulullah ﷺ” Hadhrat Sheikhul Hadith Rahmatullahi Alaihi commenting on this hadith writes, Sayyiduna Rasulullah ﷺ cried due to the listening of the words of Allah Ta’laa, and this befits the dignity of the Quraan. Imaam Nawawi Rahmatullahi Alaihi wrote that to cry while reciting the Quraan is the quality of the ‘aarifeen (those who recgonise Allah Ta’laa) and a sign of the saaliheen (pious). Allah Ta’laa has praised such people in the Quraan at many places, “Allah Ta’laa says, “…..When the signs of the Merciful were recited to them, they fell down (into Sajdah) adoring and.” (Surah Maryam 19:58)
Make it a point to weep in solitude!
