Tips For Raising Confident Mu’mineen

1️⃣ Praise your child, even if they get 4/10 in an exam, praise your child.

💞2️⃣ Every time you speak with your children, speak with RESPECT, say “JazakAllah khairan”, etc. Use ‘please’ a lot and never swear. Extremely difficult at times, but, REMEMBER, how we treat them when they are young is how they are going to treat us when WE are old!)

3️⃣ He or she is just a child, don’t take away their playing time by treating them like adults.Keep cell phones away from the children. Give firm and constant instructions concerning cellphone usage.Discourage movies and series and leisure items. Encourage good (deeny) educational themes. Things they can learn from.

4️⃣ Assist your children in making decisions.Guide them by talking to them.If they want to do something, and you approve, then help them plan.

5️⃣ Do not be afraid to ASK your child for his or her opinion For example, if you’re purchasing anything, it’s good to ask their opinion.This develops the habit of consultancy (Mashwara) in them.

6️⃣ Dedicate a corner of the house to your child and write the name of your child there. Make it their little space. This should make them more confident of themselves.Teach them how to keep their rooms NEAT AND TIDY at all times. Both in your home and in the home of family etc Teach them how to pack up toys. Teach them to pick up papers.

7️⃣ Teach your child to follow you in salaah.Lead them rather than merely instructing, it’s a more powerful way.Your child will remember what he/she sees you doing forever.Start instructing them to read salah at the age of 7.

8️⃣ Encourage your child to ask questions and try to answer each question. Otherwise, they may get the answer from the wrong source.Praise their questions at times.

9️⃣ Always fulfill your promises to your children. Do not make big or false or wrong impulsive promises which you cannot fulfill; this makes them develop a habit of making false promises to you and others If you fail to fulfill any promise, explain why

1️⃣0️⃣ Make dua for your children. Even if they have gone astray, pray for them. It is important to make duaa for them to be blessed.

1️⃣1️⃣ Tell them you might fail once, but they should never lose hope.Teach them how they should react to failure.

1️⃣2️⃣ Apologize to your child if you have made a mistake, this teaches your child to repent to Allah for their mistakes. Don’t raise ifs and buts when you are wrong.Avoid arguments. Encourage debates. Be loving, be kind .🕹️This point is a powerful attitude changer. It teaches us and our children the true meaning of being an ABD – a slave of Allah Ta’aala)

1️⃣3️⃣ Make sure you train your children to read a portion of Quran daily, according to their capacity..(The greatest gift you can EVER give your child is Deen.) Make kitaab reading in the home a daily practice.

1️⃣4️⃣ Tell your child repeatedly that you love them, tell them how MashaAllah they are and how important they are to you, hug them, it’s a sunnah to kiss your children .Positive affirmations will hone them into positive contributors to the Ummah.

1️⃣5️⃣DO give your child household chores like drawing the curtains, neatening up the rooms and how to keep the kitchen neat and tidy.Keep them occupied, otherwise they’ll complain of boredom.Make household chores a pleasant affair.OFCOURSE, when they get a bit older, baking and cooking is a must for every young girl.Teach them from a young age how to assist in the kitchen.Boys also have to play a role in helping out. Don’t allow laziness EVER ………❗
